To join PMI, go to www.pmi.org and register. Don’t forget to select Ghana as your local chapter.

 

How do I pay for my membership?

The easiest and fastest way to pay is through the online payment platform at the PMI store found at www.pmi.org.

 

What is the frequency of membership renewal?

Annually (once in a year).

 

Apart from the online mode of payment, is there any other way to make payment for my dues?

Yes you can pay your membership dues at the bank with below details. Thereafter scan and send a copy of the pay-in slip to vp.membership@pmi-ghana.org.

PMI membership dues is follows:

  • To join PMI global - USD $129 (plus USD $10 application fee)
  • To renew membership - USD $129
  • Ghana Chapter membership - Fees USD $30

 

Are there different types of memberships?

Yes, PMI has three classes of membership. These are theIndividual membership, Retiree membership and Student membership.

 

Can one join only the Ghana Chapter without joining PMI global?

No. One needs to be a registered member of PMI global and in good standing to join the Ghana chapter.

In Ghana, do we have other branches of PMI in the regions apart from Accra?

Yes.  Presently there are Chapter branches in Takoradi, Sunyani, Kumasi and Tamale.

 

What is the meeting days for the Ghana Chapter?

The Ghana Chapter normally meets at the Botsio Hall of the Alisa Hotel on the last Friday of every month, unless otherwise advised. The meeting time is 6pm to 8pm. The meetings mainly focus on networking and education on relevant topics of interest to project management practitioners as well as potential professional project managers. Can non-members of PMI attend the monthly chapter meetings?

Yes, our monthly meetings are opened to non-PMI members. It is however our desire for all people with a keen interest in the project management discipline to join us develop the discipline in our dear country.
