Abubakar Sulemana, affectionately known as Abu, is set to be the keynote speaker at the PMI Ghana April Chapter meeting. With a career spanning over three decades, Abu has established himself as a distinguished technology executive leader, renowned for his ability to collaborate with C-level executives and deliver transformative initiatives across both mature and emerging markets.

Abu is a Director of the Board of PMI Ghana Chapter.

Abu's journey in the technology sector is marked by several notable achievements. He played a pivotal role in establishing the premier IT infrastructure and organizational framework that supported $5 billion operations across 22 African countries for GE Africa. His strategic acumen was further demonstrated when he drove a $25 million increase in sales through a global CRM implementation, enabling targeted sales strategies.

One of Abu's remarkable feats includes spearheading the recovery of over five high-stakes programs with a combined budget of $120 million, generating $12 million in savings. His innovative approach to outsourcing and pricing models led to a 37% reduction in IT support costs over three years. Under his leadership, the GE IT talent pool in Sub-Saharan Africa grew tenfold, achieving 40% gender diversity and 30% graduate pipeline participation
